Today for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to be affected by this painful legacy.
As land surveyors, our work is deeply connected to the land – and with that comes the responsibility to acknowledge the truths of our shared history. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and commit to listening, learning, and fostering respect and reconciliation in the work we do.
May today be a reminder for all of us to reflect, to educate ourselves, and to carry forward the spirit of reconciliation every day.
Our Licensed Ontario Land Surveyor is currently upgrading his skills to become a Canada Land Surveyor. These qualifications will allow us to work together with Indigenous people on Indigenous Lands.
